The holidays can be a difficult time for youth at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. We understand that the holidays can be a particularly isolating and an emotionally challenging time for the youth in our care.
That’s why, every fall, Covenant House Vancouver (CHV) reaches out to the community to help make the holiday season a time of warmth and joy.
Part of this annual tradition at CHV, is the Caring Calendar. The Caring Calendar brings holiday cheer to the young people who access CHV’s services.
Much like the beloved tradition of an advent calendar, our Caring Calendar provides the youth who access our care with an activity or item each day from December 1st to December 25th. This daily anticipation builds excitement as young people look forward to receiving a special gift or to participating in a festive activity.
From gift cards and spa nights to pizza parties and excursions to local attractions, the Caring Calendar is a way for the community to get involved and support youth over the holidays.
