Thank You, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority

We would like to thank the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for their generous support of the youth we serve at Covenant House Vancouver.

Did you know?

The Port of Vancouver:

  • Connects Canada with approximately 140 to 170 countries annually
  • Sustains 132,400 jobs, $9.3 billion in wages through port activities each year
  • Generates $16.3 billionin annual GDP across Canada
  • Is home to 29 major terminals and more than 1,000 tenants
  • The port is the most diversified cargo-handling port in North America

Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has supported Covenant House Vancouver, since 2021, through their community investment program. Through this program, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority dedicates up to one percent of their net income to support projects and initiatives that align with their vision for the Port of Vancouver to be the world’s most sustainable port.

In 2024, Covenant House Vancouver received a generous grant of $10,000 through their community investment program to go towards our transitional housing program, Rights of Passage.

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has also generously supported Covenant House through the South Shore Community Liaison Committee. The Committee is comprised of local residents, Indigenous communities, municipalities, industry, and the Port Authority. At the end of each year, the Committee selects an organization to support. In 2024, the Committee generously donated $1,000 to Covenant House Vancouver.

We are proud and grateful to be a beneficiary of Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s community investment program and the Port’s dedication to enhance the quality of life of the neighbouring communities that surround the Port of Vancouver.

Thank you, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, for your continued support!
