Giving Hope on Giving Tuesday

With the holiday season getting into full swing, there’s one day with the power to make a big difference: Giving Tuesday.

Originating in 2012, Giving Tuesday was created as a day to celebrate generosity, kindness, and encourage charitable actions — like making a difference in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.

At Covenant House Vancouver, every gift and donation provides hope to a young person facing unimaginable challenges. Contributions of all sizes help to provide a safe space where youth are respected, supported, and loved unconditionally.

There are multiple ways to get involved this holiday season. With our Hope for the Holidays campaign, you can help to fill a backpack with essentials like warm clothing, toiletries, and gift cards that will show youth that they’re valued and cared for. Or consider participating in the Caring Calendar by sponsoring a fun activity or outing during the month of December.

If you would like to participate in the Hope for the Holidays campaign, please contact Cory Kaban by phone at 604-757-6064, or by email at ckaban@covenanthousebc.org.

Monetary gifts help support programs and services such as life skills and counselling, and help to provide, hot, nourishing meals for the young people we serve. And, during the month of December, your gift will be tripled for three times the impact. The Triple Match Campaign is made possible through the generous support of Scotiabank and the Trottier Family Foundation, who will match every dollar up to $150,000!

With your help, we can ensure that every youth has the opportunity to thrive this holiday season, and beyond.

Thank you, for your support of vulnerable youth in the community.
