Maritz is a sales and marketing services company, based in Missouri. They are committed to supporting the fight against human trafficking and to giving back to the communities where their events are held.
Maritz recently held their Elevate conference here in Vancouver. There were over 300 attendees from the US who partook in immersive Vancouver experiences and educational sessions.
When Maritz was looking for a Vancouver charity to support, Susan Ramsay, from Cantrav, suggested Covenant House Vancouver.
The support from everyone involved with the Elevate conference was incredible:
- Maritz purchased all of the items needed to create 500 first aid kits, which were assembled by conference goers during their breaks
- Maritz donated $5,000
- Destination Vancouver donated $50 per guest in lieu of a premium amenity, which resulted in a $16,000 donation
- Bombas donated 1,000 pairs of socks
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, Maritz was able able to provide Covenant House Vancouver with $38,768 in monetary and in-kind donations, so that we can continue to provide support and resources for youth experiencing homelessness.
Thank you, Maritz, for your generous support of vulnerable youth in our community.
