As many as 40,000 young people experience homelessness in Canada every year. Covenant House’s Outreach Team helps young people age 16 to 24 who are living, or at risk of living, on Vancouver’s streets; or who are precariously housed.
Street life is brutally dangerous for vulnerable youth, and when we find young people in crisis, our team is trained to connect them to psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, or our team will connect youth to our Crisis Program, if they are in need of supportive housing.
But we can’t do this alone. Our services are in great demand, due to the rising cost of food, inflation and other factors.
That is why this Triple Match Campaign is very timely.
This holiday season, Bryan and Kim James wanted to inspire generosity in our community, so they offered a $50,000 matching gift. This has been generously matched by Scotiabank, which means we have a total of $100,000 in matching funds. Any donation you make will have 3X the impact — but only until December 31st.
Any donation you make will be tripled! That means your gift has three times the impact to support youth who are trying to overcome homelessness.
Thank you to all our Triple Match Campaign media partners.
