As you may know, our Gift-in-Kind Department is in transition both due to Covid-19 and we have limited space as we work to finish our new building.
Thankfully, we have an amazing partnership with Wildlife Thrift Store, allowing us full access to any used items dropped off at their 1295 Granville Street location. Because of their support, we can receive needed items like clothing free of charge as required for the young people at Covenant House Vancouver.
Wildlife Thrift Store and its staff are always so kind and helpful to our staff and youth but recently they really made one youth’s day. Youth Worker Krista shared, “I just wanted to let you know that I went to Wildlife with that youth for a prom dress and she found one with some shoes 🙂 She was so grateful, so thank you for arranging for us to go up and look with her. She wasn’t planning to go to prom if she wasn’t able to find a dress.”
