When the pandemic halted overseas outreach projects for the Ascenta Foundation for Health & Education Outreach, they turned to their local communities to offer their support.
The foundation learned of our need for computer upgrades to access the virtual platforms our youth and staff are now relying on and did not hesitate to step forward to help. With their generous funding of $5,000, we were able to purchase several new computers, including one for a youth with special needs who requires specific software called Optikey to type with their eyes. The new technology will allow the youth to continue their studies and achieve their goals. This is a wonderful example of how we collaborate with our community partners to give youth the tools they need for success.
