We are excited to share that RBC Foundation is funding $10,000 to increase technology capacity at Covenant House Vancouver in the form of new computers and technology upgrades.
COVID-19 has changed so much about the way we interact with each other and this has particularly impacted the way our social workers and clinical counsellors support our youth. Although staff adapted to the remote and virtual platforms we have all come to rely on, there was still a need for faster-processing computers and monitors with built-in cameras to ensure quality interactions between youth and their support workers.
Fortunately, the generous funding from RBC Foundation will allow Covenant House Vancouver to acquire new hardware. This will enable our staff to offer trauma-informed care to our youth more seamlessly, supporting their physical, psychological, and emotional safety, especially during this challenging time.
