A few weeks ago, Pender Crisis Program had a mug lasagna night. One of the challenges of being a young person navigating adulthood is learning life skills such as cooking.
In Vancouver especially, it can be very expensive to afford good meals. Some of our youth also have limited access to full kitchen spaces when they move into independent housing.
Mug lasagna is a simple, yet delicious way to eat on a budget. We showed our youth how easy it was to take a few simple ingredients and a microwave and turn it into something delectable.
Many of our youth had fun customizing their lasagna’s and even made seconds and thirds!
