In observance of the Jewish holiday, Purim, the kitchen team delighted the youth with a traditional dessert called Hamantaschen.
This is a Jewish triangular filled-pocket cookie that symbolizes the defeated enemy of the Jewish people, Haman.
This is part of a regular new initiative where we will be bringing in community/culture-specific desserts on holidays and adding an educational component to it. This helps our youth and staff become more familiar with each other’s beliefs and traditions.
Special thank you to our Spiritual Care Practitioner, Kadee, for helping to put together such a tasty treat!
