After Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes GivingTuesday!
Imagine a day dedicated to giving back … around the world, across Canada and in your own community. Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season.
GivingTuesday is a Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. It is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.
We have two great ideas to help you help Covenant House and celebrate GivingTuesday:
- Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have generously donated an additional $250,000 towards our Matching Campaign meaning that, alongside the previous anonymous donors’ gifts, the total match for the campaign is now $375,000. Now more than ever, you have a special opportunity to be the driving force of hope and love for a young person trying to overcome the challenges of homelessness.
- Bring joy to youth this Christmas by supporting our Christmas Backpack Campaign.
