Tonight, Covenant House Vancouver will host our first virtual Sleep Out: Home Edition. As a virtual event, we are encouraging people to Sleep Out “together” in solidarity with homeless youth while remaining physically apart to raise funds and awareness for youth experiencing homelessness.
This is a special opportunity to be a part of a positive movement that will bring our community together to help vulnerable youth. Our event aims to raise $100,000 for our Street Outreach Program.
“Sleepers” will interact by video with front-line workers and also hear from CHV youth. They will hear personal stories of how youth found their way to our doors and how their lives have changed since. There will also be special guests and activities.
Our sleepers would greatly appreciate any donations – click here to donate to a sleeper or to the event. Every Sleep Out donation made today will be matched by Kim Streit and an anonymous donor up to $40,000!
Be sure to join in the discussion on social media using the hash tag #CHSleepOut. You can follow Covenant House Vancouver on Twitter @CovenantHouseBC, on Instagram @covenanthousebc or on our Facebook page.
Big thank you to all our “sleepers” and their supporters!
