On February 28th, Gleneagle Secondary School students participated in their 7th Annual Sleep Out. They continue to sleep outside year after year because they believe in supporting youth who are experiencing homelessness.
The students shared this powerful thought:
“Youth. A simple word, but in reality? They’re our friends, our peers, similar in age or … even younger. We sleep outside so we can help someone sleep in a warm bed, in a safe place, without having to worry about shelter. We will sleep outside, with cardboard and a sleeping bag, so another youth will be able to sleep peacefully in a bed at Covenant House.”
We want to thank Gleneagle School and it’s student sleepers for raising over $2798.50 which will provide crucial care for youth in our community!
