The caring support the firm has provided began with a simple donation of clothing back in 2010. During the years, they have also donated food, participated in Casual Day, the Backpack Program, toured our facilities and built many relationships with Covenant House staff as well.
Together, their contributions over the past seven years have reached close to $20,000 or the equivalent of outreach care for 27 youth on the street. This is an incredible gift of hope for young people who have nowhere else to turn.
Here is what staff at Clark Wilson have to say:
“It is heart breaking to see young people living on the streets. Somewhere along the line, such young members of our society were failed by the adults in their lives and also failed by society. I love to support Covenant House because they provide Vancouver’s street youth with love and hope, to open up their eyes to their beautiful human potential”. – Anonymous
“Young people should have a fair shot at making something of themselves. We all benefit when they succeed. It’s not a donation, it’s an investment in tomorrow.” – CJ
“I have done a lot of volunteer work with women and youth on the DTES for years and I just think this is such an important charity. In addition, I feel that teenagers are often overlooked and are at such a critical time in their life when they need support, as do all children. I am so impressed with this organization and would be happy to be involved further.” – Chantal Cattermole
